I was really let down to discover over a phone call after buying the lawnmower that I had to fork out an additional £100 for delivery since I was beyond the delivery zone, even though I’m in Wales. The main page clearly says 'Free delivery within England & Wales.' I spent quite a bit of time searching for this specific lawnmower model.

I had a solid experience with their sales service through both Email and phone. While I was in the middle of purchasing several EGO items, I reached out to them for some info and a deal. They were always quick to pick up the phone, and the staff really knew their stuff. The products showed up just as I ordered.

I placed my order online on Wednesday night and was able to pick it up by lunchtime on Thursday. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and really helpful.

CAUTION, steer clear of this company at all costs! Ron Smith Machinery sold me a Stihl Strimmer for a grand, and let me tell ya, it’s the top-notch Strimmer. However, it didn’t function right from the get-go and broke down after a few months. They were completely unhelpful and wouldn’t lift a finger. After a ton of hassle, I decided to go straight to Stihl, and credit where it’s due, they fixed my Strimmer. Ron Smith, on the other hand, flat out refused to help me sort this mess.

I’m not easy to impress, expecting top-notch service from those selling goods and services. Having traveled a lot, I can say that British customer service often ranks among the worst globally. But that’s not the case with Ron Smith & Co. From my initial order to the delivery, their customer service was simply outstanding. I've since purchased several Stihl products (which they also maintain for me) since I operate my own landscaping business. Whenever I've encountered any issues, the team has consistently gone above and beyond to assist and resolve them. I wholeheartedly recommend giving them a shot before considering others.
